Local Courier Delivery Services
Same day door-to-door courier service is available for any region within San Diego county when orders are received before 10:00 a.m. Monday through Friday. Orders received after 10:00 a.m. requesting same day delivery service within San Diego county will incur an expedited courier charge. Please call our order desk for more information: 866-432-8659. Same day deliveries will be completed before 5:00p.m., or possibly later, if the basket is going to a residence. When a specific delivery time is needed, an additional delivery charge will apply.

Morning courier deliveries within San Diego county are available at an expedited courier rate. Morning delivery requests must be received before 1:30 p.m. at least one day prior to the requested delivery date. Please call our office for more details: 866-432-8659

Courier delivery rates are based upon mileage, and whether you need regular (deliveries by 5:00 p.m.) or expedited delivery service (timed deliveries).

We provide daily hand delivery services within San Diego county (except on Sundays and major holidays). **Our company offers only limited delivery services on Saturdays and MUST be received by our order desk no later than 1:30 p.m. Friday. For more information, please call our office.
Courier Residential Deliveries Explained:
If no one is home at the time of delivery, the driver will make an assessment of the property and neighborhood. The driver will then report to our office if he deems the area safe enough to leave the basket unattended. If there are any concerns, the driver will attempt to locate a neighbor willing to accept the package on behalf of the gift recipient. Otherwise the package will be re-delivered the FOLLOWING day, and will incur an additional delivery charge.
Courier Hotel Deliveries Explained:
Most hotels will accept single basket deliveries without charging the customer a per-room delivery fee. However, many hotels will charge a per-room delivery fee for multiple basket deliveries. Please check with the hotel for rate information.
The courier will take the basket(s) to the front desk or concierge station. The hotel staff will confirm that the guest is staying there and sign on behalf of that guest. Once the basket has been signed for, it becomes the responsibility of the hotel to complete the delivery process. Heavenly Gift Baskets and our courier provider cannot be held liable for any lost baskets once the hotel has signed for, and is in possession of the basket(s). All claims for any lost or damaged baskets must therefore be made with the hotel in question.
Cruise Ship Deliveries Explained:
We hand deliver baskets to the cruise ships at the San Diego Port. Each cruise line requires an on-board handling and delivery fee of $8.00. This is an additional expense that is not calculated into the final total amount shown on your order form. You will berecieving an e-mail notification that your credit card will be charged accordingly.
Ground Shipping Fees explained
Our goal is to give you a quality product at a reasonable price, and we know you are paying attention to shipping rates when making on-line purchases. That's why we don't charge a "blanket" shipping fee like some merchants do. Shipping charges are based upon weights. Our shipping table gives you many options for shipping. You may ship via UPS or Fed-Ex ground, which is the most economical method, will take 1-7 business days, depending upon the destination,, or via Priority Mail, which will usually get your basket to its destination within 2-3 days. Overnight delivery is available by special arrangement. Please e-mail or call us for these rates when submitting your order.
Our shipping rates factor in a base price for shipping materials. This includes the shipping box, packing paper, and any structural supports necessary to insure that your basket arrives in the same condition it left our store. That price varies from $3.50-$5,00, depending upon the size of the basket you've chosen. We do not charge a handling fee, as we believe that shipping your gift baskets is an inherent part of our services provided to you!
Next we calculate the actual shipping rates via USPS software which is included with our shopping cart. Nationwide shipping is measured and charged by the pound. Fractions of pounds are rounded up. Each shipping method and each pound rate has a different price per pound.
All our baskets are packaged and shipped individually. We do not double-up baskets within one package going to the same address. Our shipping fees reflect this individual service. Please note: We will not ship gift baskets containing chocolate between the warm months of April-October. Substitutions will be made.
Shipping Baskets Containing Wine
Due to strict interstate regulations, Heavenly Gift Baskets will ONLY ship wine baskets via UPS ground to the following states:
